When I fist started making sugar biscuits and decorating them with royal icing I was in awe of this amazing lady. I still am, her biscuits are so beautiful and she is the reason I made my very first batch of royal icing (which was a complete flop, but luckily I've improved since then!). I recently found another AMAZING cookie decorater - Ali from Ali Bee's Bake Shop, and I was instantly in love. Her biscuits are unbelievable and I immediately wanted to try her brush embroidery technique.
She explains how to do it here - but, as always, it wasn't 100% as easy as she makes it look (I think it was a consistency thing again - getting the right consistency for royal icing for different things is the hardest thing in the world!). Looking at hers again now I can see I still need a lot of practice but at least they still turned out pretty good and I will def be doing this again.
