It's Friday...again...already. I haven't done any posts this week and today's isn't really a proper gratitude post, sorry, but I've been so super busy, tons of work work, tons of freelance work and tons of baking work. But soon...25 days time to be exact, my sister and I will be jetting off to Europe for our big Contiki holiday. I must say I am SUPER excited about it, I've never been to Europe or London or any of those places and I can't wait to go and see all the art and buildings and beautiful things, as well as one of my best friends in the world, Quinton.
I will also be ticking something off my bucket list, we are going to Vienna to see
The Kiss by Gustav Klimt, my favourite artist and painting in the whole wide world. It's going to be epic.
All of this crazy working that has been going on this week is mostly in aid of my trip, I'm trying to get my last bit of spending money together. Besides design freelance I also made this this week...
Prep work started on Tuesday
When the cake was looking like a giant s'more...nom nom
Thanks to my sister who, after finishing her degree full of sleepless nights on Tuesday, gave up her newly acquired sleeping time to help me with it all. She made the hair and helped mix all the colours into the different icings. When we finished it we just stood and stared at it for about 30 minutes, it's mesmerizing! I took most of the pictures last night at 1 o'clock when we finished but then took some more this morning cuz the light was just so much nicer. If you haven't seen the movie - it's a
Tangled theme cake, hence the random chameleon.
The cake was for Colin's bosses' little daughter. If I was a little girl and this was my cake I would be amped! I'd also possibly be the coolest girl in school.
I Love it Jenny! so much!
ReplyDeleteIn fact I want one!.. I'm pretty sure it was my half birthday on Monday... I'm just saying...

So awesome!! what's that stuff in the tower? strawberry-pops?
ReplyDeleteThe whole tower, roof and chameleon is made from rice krispy treats and then covered with plastic icing. Was pretty fun to do!
